Tax software giveaway gets social

I'm probably one of the few people who hasn't seen The Social Network. But I don't need to sit through two hours in a movie theater to know that the website has a lot of fans.

So I'm taking advantage of its popularity. Today's edition of our tax software giveaway migrates to Facebook.

CompleteTax logo_200x100 Head on over to Don't Mess With Taxes' Facebook page and leave a comment there letting me know you'd like an access code to CompleteTax's Premium MVP online tax preparation program. With it, you can prepare and e-file for free one 2010 federal and one 2010 state tax return .

Congrats to our Twitter winners Meg, Seleste and Dale. Since we only had three winners in that social media contest foray yesterday, I'm going to add those two unclaimed codes to today's Facebook giveaway.

That gives us a total of seven possible codes to to to the first seven folks who write on the ol' blog's Facebook wall.

More ways to win: As you know by now, CCH provided me with 20 CompleteTax access codes. I've been trying alternate giveaway routes, starting with blog comments, then via Twitter and today on Facebook.

Tomorrow, the final five codes will go to the first five folks who e-mail me that morning. Check back then for the contest e-mail address.

Contest housekeeping: You can enter as many times as you want. But so that the tax filing love can be shared, once you win one access code, you're out of the running for another one.

I'll announce the winners' names at the conclusion of each day's contest.

And just so you know, I'm not receiving anything from CCH and/or CompleteTax except the joy of giving away access to tax filing software.

Thanks for reading and good luck!
